New Jersey
- Designed for people who work in academic and research libraries as support staff, library assistants and associates, and technicians. The program is appropriate for individuals who serve in specialized support functions in such libraries, including public relations, web development, and human resources. In addition, this program is useful for fund-raisers and members of governing boards who need an overview of library services and responsibilities.
Ohio
- A calendar of workshops and other professional development events in Ohio.
South Dakota
- A four-year program of continuing education for library practitioners, support staff and trustees of small public libraries. No prior formal library science education, or previous college attendance, is required to attend.
Wisconsin
- A broad selection of seminars and workshops on the cutting edge of the new information topics and technologies that are integral to the information revolution. The topics vary according to the needs of information specialist: ranging from traditional topics like grant writing and funding alternatives to very current topics like legal issues, public accesss to resources, and information technology.
Health Sciences Libraries: AAHSL
- AAHSL has made a concerted effort to recruit and develop the next generation of academic health sciences library directors. Its leadership program provides a continuum of opportunities for career growth and development. It offers a sequence appropriate for different stages in an individual career path and one that addresses different points along the pipeline of future directors. It includes an introductory continuing education course, scholarships, fellowships, and a new directors’ symposium.
