Alberta
- An online forum. If you are looking for an opportunity to see what library or records technicians do on a daily basis, you can request a chance to job shadow or do your practicum here. If you are willing to support your peers by hosting a practicum or allowing someone to job shadow you, post your opportunity here.
New Jersey
- A listing of libraries (all different types) that provide opportunities for job shadowing for adults, as well as some that also provide opportunities for younger students to volunteer.
Public Library Association, AASL and ACRL
- Job Shadow Day gives students across America the chance to "shadow" a workplace mentor as he or she goes through a day on the job. Young people nationwide will get an up-close look at how skills learned in school are put to use in the workplace. School, academic and public librarians receive information and support from the three divisions to participate in the program as part of recruitment efforts association-wide.
Toronto
- This program takes FIS students at the University of Toronto into libraries, archives and information systems-related workplaces for a half-day or a day to observe the life of an information professional at work.
