Help:Starting a new page

Jump to: navigation, search

There are several ways to start a new article.

Article names should use sentence capitalization (that is, capitalizing the first word and proper nouns), as should subheadings within the article.

Start a new article from here

Just type in the article name and click on Create article. Please check to make sure no such article already exists!

Search for the article you want

If you search for a article that doesn't exist (using the search box and Go button), you will be provided with a link to create the new article (or page). (This doesn't work if you use the 'search' button).

Add a link on an existing article

If you add a link to an article that doesn't exist yet, the link will be red like this.

Clicking a red link will take you to an edit page for the new article. Simply type your text, add categories and formatting as appropriate, check Show preview to see that it looks right, click Save page and the new article will be created.

Once the article has been created, the link will change from red to blue (lighter blue for pages you've visited) indicating that the article now exists.
